@calc1657 Course there is. Millions of people borrow huge money to spend years studying totally useless subjects then when they graduate they can't get the kind of job they want. Yes they can get a minimum wage job doing something unskilled. It's a different kind of unemployment issue from Greece or China. In addition millions of young people don't find it attractive to work even if work is there. They just don't bother.

@buda3d2007 Well I partly agree, it's a different kind of problem. But not all Chinese study engineering :) They seem to have a similar problem to the US (actually most Western countries) in that most young people just can't make a decent living any more. Cost of living just outstrips wages. It's probably even worse in China than in most Western countries because the cost of housing in the cities where there are jobs is even more unaffordable than San Francisco or New York or London.
