@ChaosOperator Not so much potential causes of cancer as known causes of cancer. I'm no fan of the EU but the poison allowed in US food is outrageous for a rich country. That's one of the problems with Ukrainian grain too, It contains all kinds of stuff regarded as unacceptable in Europe.

@SmokestackOG I've lived in USA lived in a few European countries, almost all US food is full of chemicals, highly processed. Cheese especially is basically plastic. There's no comparison. The federal government cares more about big business lobbyists than the health of the population. It's a broken system. I'm not criticising the US in general, love the first amendment, love the second amendment but just admit it, your food is broken.

There's a lot more going on than what Zeihan tells you. In Netherlands and Ireland, the governments are actually trying to seize land. It's not so much about subsidies as restrictions which make farming uneconomic or outright illegal.
