@David-jt9nt What utter bollocks. It's only tritium that needs to be replaced and the Russians put serious resources into their nuclear arsenal. It's their top military priority despite the war in Ukraine. They have no shortage of tritium either. If you think only a 40% launch rate look into the reliability of their missiles in Ukraine. Less than 99% but more than 95%.

@David-jt9nt If Russian equipment were really so unreliable as that, Ukraine would have won the war by now. The other isotope that's made with tritium is deuterium, it's not required for missiles directly but it is used in nuclear engineering. Russia has a large civilian and military nuclear industry it has maybe the world's largest uranium resources, it doesn't have a problem with materials.

The US has military bases in Syria which 100% of the world recognises as Syrian territory. And the Syrians want the US out.

Only takes a few submarines to shut down global trade. It's delusional to think NATO can shut down Russian trade without Russia being able to do the same to NATO.

@andrewscharbarth2099 It's not created by sunlight, it's created as a fission product. You can't collect it by electrolysis it's chemically just hydrogen. There is a fancy distillation way you can separate it (really cold distillation) but I think isotopic exchange is the normal method, anyway it's not a challenge for any country with a large nuclear industry.

@Sho-td8wg If your point is that the US spends vastly more on its air force than Russia does and could gain air superiority quickly where Russia has not then yes probably. Before the war Ukraine had a very large and well prepared army, I don't think the US would find that easy either. The whole war, Ukraine has had more men under arms in Ukraine than Russia has. The Russians took a huge amount of territory in the first days, yes the US could have done that too but would have faced the same problem the Russians have, ambushes on supply lines. If you think the US could magically brush all of that aside, you're ignoring the US experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan, militarily much weaker countries than Ukraine. Also I hope it's obvious Ukraine would have collapsed long ago without the huge amount of NATO backing. The US has never faced anything analogous since Korea.

Is that because Russian tanks threaten to invade Washington?

@YaBoyRockLee LOL the original NATO borders were in Germany and Russia was promised it would stay that way. You can't keep moving NATO borders eastward and then suddenly panic that Russia in on the NATO borders. What thickies don't get is by pushing Russia into this war, all these US rivals like Russia, China and Iran are drawn into an alliance. In the days when the US was being run by people with a brain like Kissinger, the US strategy was to keep US rivals divided by taking account of their own security concerns and interests. BTW the Ukraine war is lost, the media admits it and the media is way behind.
