  1. Poland and Hungary aren't the genuine corruption problem states. It's just they're the ones Zeihan doesn't like for geopolitical reasons. Corruption in Bulgaria and especially Romania is way worse. Corruption in Lithuania and Latvia is pretty bad too.

  3.  @MrGreenTabasco  It's a short video he gave the example of Hungary and Poland as countries with corruption problems. Sure they both do have corruption problems but it's way, way worse in other countries.

  4.  @dexterquotidian  I realise Orban has problems but you have to admit, he is determined to keep Hungary Hungarian. Can you say the German government is protecting Germany in the same way? Is the French government protecting France? Visit Paris, you now will see the French are a minority in the city overall.

  10. ​ @Daniel-CMelinte  In what sense is Scotland looking shaky? There was already an independence referendum, the preference to stay in the UK was overwhelming. The EU is much more likely to break up than the UK.

  11.  @relaxletgo7105  What is the economic implosion in the UK? Have you actually compared UK growth over the past few years with EU countries? It's pretty similar. Germany is in recession right now, the UK is not.

  12.  @frommeralfred  Sure France and Italy are net payers but Germany pays half on its own. There are lots of reasons to be outside the EU and especially outside the Euro. The tendency is for anti-EU parties to get stronger over time in all of France, Italy and Germany. So if you think nobody other than Britain will ever leave, I'd like to point out few people expected Britain to leave either.

  13.  @Vercixx  LOL do you think the EU is any better? Brussels is ground zero for EU corruption. Billions get distributed and plenty get skimmed. Look at "Qatargate". All the so called reforms apply to member countries but not to the EU itself. Brussels is every bit as filthy as Washington.

  16. True but not going to happen. Once these federalists have their hands on power and wealth, they're never going to voluntarily give it up. It's the nature of such organisations to attempt to centralise ever more. The US government fought a particularly bloody civil war rather than allow member states to regain some of the power they once had.

  17. Demographically the EU is changing very quickly, that's going to create massive political problems even if there are no external factors. Economically, it's mainly Germany who is paying for everything especially now that Britain is gone so eventually the Germans will get tired of that. The AFD keeps getting stronger. Once the budgets dry up, the motivation for countries like Hungary and Italy and France disappears.
