@leeii337 Chechnya is part of the Russian federation. If you support self determination for Chechans who want to separate from Russia, do you also support self determination for Donbas Russians who want to separate from Ukraine?

I'd say that if Putin removes Ukraine as a nuclear threat on Russia's border, takes control of a huge chunk of the country and creates economic damage to the West outweighing the damage to Russia such that meaningful sanctions won't last much longer than the fighting then he's won.. and it's looking like that's exactly what's going to happen.

@easyenetwork2023 The Russian government is actually running a budget surplus despite fighting a major war. In contrast, the Ukrainian economy is falling to half what it was and EU economy as a whole is crashing due to the sanctions on Russia, Germany is already starting to ration natural gas.
