  1. Probably just war of attrition. Things will gradually get worse for Ukraine but they've still got enough resources to make large Russian advances too expensive and that's not likely to change soon. Nothing in this war happens quickly. Having said that, Ukraine can't keep doing this year after year. Especially if Trump wins the election and pulls the plug.
