  4. The "students" need to remind the university that they are customers and can take their money elsewhere. They are not children and this is not elementary school. And UNC is a PUBLIC, not private school. Any assertion otherwise, from them or anyone else, is false. So...UNC's campus is open to the public, especially where 1st amendment protected activities are concerned.

  23. The court ruled that the universities were engaging in racial discrimination and using their affirmative action regulations to do that. Folks may not like i,t but the ruling, based on the equal protections clauses, was the right one. You do not fix discrimination by discriminating. And race can still be used in admissions. Not the disaster some see.

School choice is always the best solution for kids, especially minority kids. NC already allocates over 50% of the states budget to "education" and frankly NC's rankings in education do not look as if the money has been spent well, at all. More money going to the government schools is not the answer.

  27. The charge is BS. What he did was not illegal by NC law and, he did not have on body armor. He was wearing a tactical vest. Yeah, he was dumb to go armed to a neighbors home to talk, but it wasn't illegal. And the charge is right up there with the usual police BS like resisting arrest or impeding an investigation.
