  2. "They", meaning the demolition company, believed the lies spread by the Sierra Club and assumed that the top of the tall stack was open. It wasn't. When the scrubber was installed, a steel cap was welded to the steel liner. When the stack fell the air inside was compressed and the steel cap blew off. You can simulate it by taking an empty Pringles can, putting the plastic lid on it, laying it down, and smashing the can with your hands. "They" didn't do their research before they dropped the stack, but I can guarantee that they didn't plan on this debacle happening and are paying for it.

  3.  @jimnalgrin3515  If you look at the demolition of Elrama, you won't see a fireball like Avon Lake. After we shut down management had the building cleaned of combustible dust. The bottom line is that the demolition of power stations is not a clean business.
