 @LynnRene Not everyone got asbestos related diseases. Lung cancer from smoking and cirrhosis of the liver were far more common amongst the Greatest Generation.

@brannonevans3685 , even that has its limits. Even though the state had a Castle Law a homeowner was charged and prosecuted because he shot the intruder. The homeowner came down the steps from the bedroom to find the intruder carrying his TV out. He shot and killed the intruder. The court ruled that because the intruder had both hands on the TV he wasn't an immediate threat to the homeowner.

@Napoleon_Blownapart I'm not a lawyer, but I highly recommend a thorough review of your state's Castle Law and reviewing cases where homeowners have been successfully prosecuted by their states. Like it or not, it's not a blanket license to kill.

@OryanStargazer , unless they find the gun on or next to the body inside the house they can be pricks and charge you and make you spend megabucks to defend yourself.

Your dad was probably a WW2 veteran. He chose to work there because the money was good. Did you have a roof over your head? Clothes on your back? Food in your stomach? Appreciate the sacrifices your father made for you and his family. Most of that generation smoked and tried to drown the memories of the war in alcohol.
