@zerotodona1495 You're partially correct. There are a lot of countries between Russia and Ireland whose people migrated here and built the country after the Civil War, my great-grandfather was among them.

@johnmartin4641 She'll get a lecture about the importance of being a team player that's right out of "Office Space".

@ericede I can just imagine Lumbergh walking up to Peter's cubicle and asking if he got the memo to add a column titled "corporate community" to the TPS reports.

@smelltheglove2038 When people stop caring about what goes on on "social media" and push back then this perversion of life will stop.

As long as it's profitable, it will continue.

Too many parents plop their kids in front of the TV and think that what they are seeing is worthwhile. The medium was labeled "the vast wasteland" decades ago and it's still living up to the label.

@perry92964 That strategy is backfiring on corporate HD. My problem with them started two years ago when they suddenly shuttered my local dealership, which was founded in 1982 when they couldn't give franchises away. A guy from my high school class owned the franchise. Now, instead of riding 20 miles to the nearest dealership instead of 3 miles I give my business to an independent 2 miles away. The way corporate closed the franchise and sold the property is criminal. They held a gun to two other dealers heads and forced them to buy the inventory under threat of force closing them. I do my own work if I can. I only go to the dealers for oils and filters for my Sportster. Last year three quarts of 20-50, a filter, and two quarts of transmission oil was $60.

In other news, the new, woke Quantum Leap appears to have died after only 12 episodes. The show is being replaced by reruns of Magnum PI during the important February rating sweeps. Farewell...

The monthly update for May results in my computer being able to see my neighborhood routers but not my home router. Microsoft is blaming Comcast. The fix is to connect through a WiFi repeater.
