It has always been here, just not out in the open as it is now. Now we're back to the Trump Papers, but nary a word about the Biden Papers and the Pence Papers. When the White House mouthpiece can look the public in the eye and say that bank statements and records are "Republican lies" it makes me want to barf.

@ChrisJones-wg1iy Doesn't matter. There isn't a bank or insurance company in the world that would just "take your word on it". That's called "due diligence" and practicing due diligence avoids accusations of malfeasance. Big words, I know, but law and money thrive on big words.

@elephantoflight3362 If YouTube permitted posting of outside links you'd have them. But, it doesn't matter, because we live in an age where information that fits our view of reality is only a screen tap away. Isn't the Matrix wonderful?
29
@elephantoflight3362 You should read sources other than gaming magazines.
23
@elephantoflight3362 YouTube has deleted posts containing such radical things like the following: A list of closed Harley -Davidson dealers. A list of 1890s railroads. A list of electronics magazines from the 1960s. That said, I won't waste my time.
19
@elephantoflight3362 And that means...what? Congratulations on your degree.
18
@888strummer Anyone who has actually bought or sold property understands your point. The comments just prove how many people are still living in Mom's basement.
17
@jimconard9341 "The Supreme Court said that I couldn't, but guess what? I did it anyway!" Re: student loan forgiveness.
17
@mikeantell533 They're always looking for judges for Traffic Court, or if that fails, Divorce Court.
14
@mikew764 And you haven't gotten a clue as to how real estate and financial markets work, but at least you are consistent and predictable.
14
@stevenunua2118 It was never like this, even during Watergate. It started with Carter, and gradually got worse to where there are two distinct "realities".
12
@conehead210 Explain how. Agent Smith doesn't overlook tax cheats for very long.
12
No red meat for the clientele. Property law is as boring as contract law. Judge Judy would have thrown the case out in less than one minute.
12
@denise2618 Property law is quite well-defined. When you buy your first house you'll learn all about it.
11
@Randy-jz9ox : Trump: What about my Miranda rights? You're supposed to say, "You have the right to remain silent." Nobody said I have the right to remain silent! Shrek: Trump, you HAVE the right to remain silent. What you lack is the capacity.
11
@ericstandefer9138 When I watched the January 6 event, I thought of Abraham Lincoln's first inaugural address. In the aftermath, it occurred to me that men who actually fought against the Union were treated far better than the tourists who dared to enter a building *their taxes paid for*. "With mercy towards all, and malice towards none". What an archaic concept, here in the United Soviet States of America.
10
You're exposing your lack of knowledge about pre-Civil War history. Issues with tariffs and protectionism were far ahead of slavery.
10
Hat?! More like a beanie.
10
@robyoung-pl1gq Where exactly did Trump threaten court employees with physical violence? Haven't seen it on ABC Nightly News.
10
@lindalovatt5799 This has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with standard real estate banking practices and procedures.
9
That would be a Pay per View event!
8
If being a skeptic is "treasonous" in your mind, then come and get me.
8
@JohnYotal ...and your law degree is from where?
8
@mikew764 Predictable response.
8
@JohnYotal It would have been thrown out due to the AG having no standing. Standing requires proof of physical or economic harm, and neither of them exist.
7
@norrisfong6445 Only after a judge blew up the sweetheart "deal" Hunter had.
7
@trevortrevortsr2 All the more reason to clean house.
6
@phil5569 I like being a disciple of Diogenes. Being a skeptic allows you to draw the ire of both sides by asking questions whose answers would force them to confront truth and reality. It's fun.
6
@audreyodonoghue462 The Senate doesn't come in until the House actually sends articles of impeachment to them. Then the case is tried in the Senate. This is just the fact-finding stage.
6
@MikeW165 Please feel free to tell me. I'm all ears
6
@MikeW165 Which one is it, mikew764 or MikeW165? Bot alert!
6
@l.a.r.worldwide8243 Sure, a Chinese national...
5
Disband the EPA!
5
To make a point, just like the old Soviet Union.
5
@MikeW165 Bot.
5
@kurtbarlow9402 Who's the announcer whose tagline is "Let's Get Ready to Rumble!"?
4
@DaveCM Trump is a businessman and a negotiator. Protective tariffs were a much larger issue than slavery in the North. Mechanization was coming. The way you negotiate this is to give the South tariff incentives in return for abandoning slavery.
4
It's not an easy question to answer because "any grown American" knows that the reasons were complex.
4
@tabo01 Ahem...your boy had five deferments too, so he's no war hero either.
4
It works that way with collectibles too.
4
@tattoowho 95 million votes...
4
@nunook5522 Mechanization was coming, and it would have made slavery obsolete.
3
@333maxwell That's why professional appraisers have jobs.
3
@rookcapcoldblood2618 Tariffs comprised 95% of the government income in 1858. This issue had been a source of discord for many decades and led to the Nullification issue in the 1830s. I can do this all week.

@thomasdunaway2573 I was a little kid when Kennedy was assassinated and Johnson swooped in and took control. Along with ramping up the Vietnam war, he had NASA move from Cape Canaveral to Houston. He was known as being hard-nosed and vengeful. He viewed the National Debt as "a debt we owe to ourselves" and began his "Great Society" with deficit spending. Thanks to the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, he acquired far greater powers than anyone before him and marked the current era where we vote for a (hopefully) benevolent King instead of a mere administrator responsible to Congress and constrained by the SCOTUS. Yes, I've heard of Lyndon Baines Johnson.
3
@brandonsaquariumsandterrar8985 He wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence, dontcha know? He dictated the Gettysburg Address for Abe, too.
3
@JohnYotal Sometimes it's just fun to watch the show.
3
@richardbryanesq What about Florida? What does the value of a property in Florida, and the idiot judge who doesn't understand the difference between APPRAISED VALUE and FAIR MARKET VALUE because he's paid rent all his life have to do with New York?
3
@richardbryanesq Explain exactly HOW the "people of New York" have been harmed in less-than-nebulous terms. In certain Pennsylvania counties rogue school boards are challenging homebuyers' assessments in court. Here's how it works: you buy a house for $100K. That becomes the assessed value. A few months later you get a letter and tax bill from the school board in which they state that the value of the home is $150K and you will be taxed accordingly. Now you have to hire a tax attorney and hack your way through the process. What's being done to Trump is no different, except the banks are happy, the insurance companies are happy, and most importantly, the TAXING AGENCIES are happy. In New York and Florida, where New York has no standing.
3
@gregalan62 Just because something sounds "crazy" doesn't mean that it should automatically be dismissed.
