  1. Perhaps the most fascinating microclimate in that region is that of Ramsar, it almost reminds me of a cloud forest climate... below sea level. There are a few climates I've found which could almost be described as cloud forest at sea level, but this is certainly the only one below sea level that comes remotely close.

  2. The Himalayas are known to have the highest altitude forests in the world, so yeah this checks out. It would be a temperate monsoonal rainforest though definitely not the typical tropical rainforest type. Some day I really want to see the Deodar cedars in the Himalayas.
