  1. If I had to make an educated guest, the Rust Foundation is intently destroying itself. They deliberately don't want people to touch Rust. This reminds me of Nichia LEDs, where they had a rule demanding the manufacturers to advertise for them, by using a sticker stating "This product uses Nichia LEDs". Did not pan out well. The Rust Foundation is far worse than that.
