@steveg2277 Acrylic has an issue where the minimal crack that forms will lead to catastrophic failure. It is like glass in that respect.

Game controllers tested by millions of people. That's a fallacy there. Commercial products are often produced to fill the bare minimum of quality standards. It doesn't matter if the controllers were "tested" (cough) by millions of people, if a company like Logitech never fixed any issues with them. Using commercial, untested products is a bad take on critical applications, especially if the products were not put under the scrutiny that such environments demand. I say untested, because they were only tested by the OEM to pass quality check, but they were not tested regarding resistance to vibrations, fire, etc.
