  1. I think Apple actually rents its products. It is like in communist societies, where you can buy stuff, but it is still state owned (and you are property of the state as well). In this case, Apple owns your Apple products, and tells you how to (not to) fix them, how to dispose of them, and how to replace them. And Apple owns you as a consumer, even if you didn't signed a paper ceding you as your own property. Or, at least, they have the arrogance to think so. The fact that Apple is able to use state owned organizations to enforce their policies, is not only sign the arrogance of their corporatocracy, it is flat out corruption.
