And I though they made the light heavier!?

@deusexaethera So, basically, it is the optical equivalent of a transistor?
2
@phobos2077_ I can relate to that. Exactly the story of my flash drive, up to the point of now being a bare PCB with a USB connector.
2
@billybobjoe198 Probably he knows more about life than you.
2
@mysteryboyee In fact, that is dangerous, because the outlet clearly is not rated to be used with that breaker, even if the rest of the circuit is.
2
Not just a capacitor. Either a capacitor in parallel and a resistor in series (1st order LPF), or a capacitor/inductor combo in the same "L" configuration (2nd order LPF). A lone capacitor is meaningless in the world of filters, onless the previous stage has a high output impedance (in other words, a fictional resistor in series).

And "condensador" in Portuguese.

Please, do try a Moka pot.

I had one of those things set itself on fire because the fan stopped.

it seems that a light with a wavelength of 500nm would be ideal for day and night conditions.

Nixie tubes are definitely better.

For a 13A rated extension cord, that wire is way too thin.

It has a Zilog chip in it, but it is hard to identify. It is not a CPU, though. The PCB is clearly designed for component shortage. The clever design allows the use of alternative packages.

Because most people like easier content.

@sGnNPlayer Second that, although it might be due to a limitation for some people, and not just a matter of will.
1
@EebstertheGreat Nonetheless, I think Technology Connections is, at least, on par with Linus Tech Tips, if not somewhat superior in terms of quality and presentation.

Your face at 10:32. Legendary!

Very complete and informative video, as always!

@compzac You could always displace the recording head instead, and use the four track head the same way. That would require a special, narrower, recording head that could be moved around sideways, but no big deal. After all, the recording head is just a magnet to erase the tape, and it is the play head that actually does the recording.

@markylon Chimes are not universal. They are not generally used in Europe.
1
@markylon Notice that I say "not generally". I didn't say they were never used. As for universal, that is very debatable.
1
@markylon I think you are arguing for the sake of arguing. You are giving disparate and unsupported reasons just to support your argument. It ends here.
1
@markylon Facts are hard evidence. What you are presenting are assumptions. I never have directly seen such a chime in my life, like so many people. I was not familiarized with them not a long time ago either. I don't deny that they are ubiquitous in countries like the US. But you should inquiry next time before jumping to conclusions.
1
@markylon Not in my country. That doesn't exist here. So, it is not universal. You know that Britain doesn't dictate the standards to be used elsewhere in the world.
1
@markylon Just because it is protocol in the UK, it doesn't mean that it is universal. Your arrogance is aggravating me, sincerely. Go see the meaning of universal in a dictionary, before arguing with me. That standard is not used in many countries, so it is not universal. The fact that is used in English speaking countries is not evidence. For you, it seems that the world is only the UK and the US.
1
@markylon One more thing, this is not a measuring context. But if you want to go for the qualified route, I'm qualified in electronics design, and also in control and automation. My qualifications allowed me to design fully functional touch sensitive call/car buttons for elevator use, for an elevator company. The buttons are actually in use. Plus, I'll be contracted to design an elevator controller in the near future. Still, want to talk about how "universal" a British standard is, or how qualified you are? You fix them, I make them.
