The worst part about the whole disaster is knowing that even if they were found, there would be nothing that could be done to rescue them. there was no way that they would survive making a trip to the top if the vessel lost power and they suddenly ascended all that ways from the bottom of the seafloor, or even at the depths that they were an hour and 45 minutes into the journey down towards the bottom. they would have got the bends.

@bestmaaad it's absolute madness the lengths that he went to to avoid having to follow safety regulations. it's not like he was broke and couldn't afford to do so. I hope his wife gets sued. I'm from Seattle and I heard that they live in one of our wealthiest neighborhoods (Madison Valley) up here along the shores of Lake Washington. it's not like he lacked a university education and couldn't suss out that an experimental craft isn't the thing to take tourists down to visit the seabed in.

@gratchgratch7919 there's a lot of different sounds down there. it's likely that they were hearing the clanging of debris from the original Titanic wreckage getting knocked about in the current.
