When I was pregnant at 5 weeks I had severe nausea and I was recommended to take a medication. I decided against it because I read online that I could cause cleft palate. When my daughter was three, I saw the same medication being talked about online as a subject of a class action lawsuit because it caused deformities in newborns.

Well I don't have any degrees and I've heard of him (McBride) years ago, Kelsey and Lenze as well. Probably because I'm autistic and when I became pregnant I did extensive research on any medication that has been known to cause birth defects. Because I'm autistic I have an innate need to know about certain things that I am interested in, and I research them extensively beyond the point of fatigue.

@samjohnstone1356 spoken like a true Nixon/Trumpian anti-intellectual! There's absolutely nothing wrong with going to a left OR right -leaning college if you are sound in your convictions and can critically reason. It's good to be exposed to opposing opinions, otherwise you get stuck in an echo chamber.

@tofufu9571 it's absolutely a humble brag as well as a form of honest astonishment. The two things are not mutually exclusive.

@alexandravalerious3274 it's interesting how sickle cell anemia helps prevent malaria.

@Shrek-pu8uu it depends on what's being discussed and what the degree is in. Of course even within the same field there can be emissions of knowledge and gaps in learning, that's why it's good to always seek new information no matter how much we already know. But I agree, I agree does not make a person more knowledgeable overall. Also, a lot of people lose the information that they once were able to recall due to not needing to use/remember it again.
