+PaleBlueDot This must be the TYT network. Cenk is currently ranting about some comment Harris made about Ben Carson 6 months ago. The only people not downvoting are the majority who don't know what he's talking about.

It's amazing. They're very neurotic people. I got covid this summer. It's not a big deal. Viral infections are a fact of life.
2
The senate never would have gone along with it.
2
@GrahamNickerson No he didn't. He said there were fine people on both sides of the dispute over the Robert E. Lee statue.
2
His lawyer, Kash Patel, already said he wants to. Trump isn't the one pushing for secrecy.
2
@danieldaw1778 It means it was censored, not peer reviewed. It takes 6-12 months to peer review an article.
2
@petercornwell5880 Again. That's not the way the publication process works. If the paper is wrong. Either the author found problems with it, or colleagues or reviewers pointed out errors, then it is withdrawn. Academics don't get paid for publications. They don't want to publish articles that are wrong. This paper was removed for political reasons.
2
Realist means "you have to vote for 5 concentration camps, rather than 10"? Funny how those same facilities weren't considered "concentration camps" when Obama was president.
2
It's not even complicated. They think "woman" is really complicated because women have hysterectomies. People have 2 legs, but someone who loses a leg in an accident doesn't cease to be a person.
2
So if you don't want sex and gender issues taught in K-3, then "you are anti-gay"? There's an assumption in that line of reasoning.
2
Seriously, who watches Sam Seder? He has to play dumb to make a point. "So only a Macedonian actress can play Cleopatra?" They're not race blind casting her. They're intentionally, and falsely, claiming that she was black.
2
YT is manipulating the likes/dislikes on videos. The vast majority of the comments are ridiculing Sam Seder.
2
They're repeating a fake twitter Democrat talking point. The TN GOP never tried to change the age restrictions on marriage. Here's what happened. The TN GOP introduced a bill to amend the marriage law. The Dems, bitter about the FL law, started shrieking that there was no age restrictions in the amendment bill. The GOP said that it didn't change the established age limits. But GOP members of the committee put the age limits in the bill nevertheless. So this talking point is a total lie.
2
@crotchy7667 He was a Utilitarian villain from a star trek episode. His colony was short on supplies so he decided to euthanize half the population.
2
It's absurd how the transes have become the cause/obsession of the left. Knowles has a point. It's time to return to LGB, and remove the "T".
2
You guys come from the Cenk Uygur school of debate. He never made an argument to kill anyone.
2
I recall that she was the victim of a rape mob in Cairo. It's a horrific practice in some Arab countries where a mob of men surround a strange woman allowing the inner men to grope and rape her. It happened to some Dutch woman also.
2
They both looked more like the real Cleopatra than Jada Pinket Smith. Not all Greeks look the same, but they were whites.
2
This is a Democrat party lie. The statement they're complaining about--i.e. slaves learning skills, was in the old curriculum. Dessantis didn't write it. It was was written by a black history professor.
2
Papadopolous was charged with lying to the FBI. It has nothing to do with "Russia collusion" or the FISA warrants.
2
It's amazing that Sam Seder doesn't hear how stupid he sounds when he calls Walsh a "Christian fundamentalist". The leftwing gender ideology is debunked with biology, not religion.
2
@feralguyver False equivalence. You guys are those things.
2
@andrewgreenwood9068 "changing the way laws work based on political opinion is not the job of the courts." That's not what they did. The Constitution only allows racial discrimination or segregation under extreme exceptional circumstances. (Example cited by court is stopping a prison race riot.) Affirmative action doesn't remotely meet such a standard. There's not even any evidence that it improves anything.
2
@sheli5483 That's not true. The lawsuit made Harvard race based admissions standards public. An Asian needs 250 points higher SAT to have the same chance of acceptance as a black.
2
That's why the Onion is no longer funny. Info Wars without Jones would go broke. It's just like Project Veritas without O'keefe. Everybody forgot it existed and O'Keefe started a different company. This sale was blocked by a judge, BTW. It wasn't an open auction, so it wasn't legal.
2
That was amazing. I've never seen someone freak out like that. He even ran out into the road and tried to stop a random car because he thought it was affiliated with Project Veritas. The closest I've seen to that are psychedelic induced panics.
2
I can't imagine liking a politician more because they pray. Praying kind of sucks.
2
"theocrat, fascist" Hahahahahahaha
2
@scruffopone3989 My prediction is that HCQ (combined with other chemicals) has been superceded by better treatments, as is normally what happens in medicine. Except what they have in the US is a monoclonal antibody. Those cost thousands of dollars, so it might be cost restricted. It could be $10,000 for a treatment.
2
They also don't represent the majority. Seder is oblivious, until the 2020 election. They're making the same obvious mistake they made in 2016. A negative approach, impeachment with obsession with Trump, will fail.
2
@HocusPocus6969 " no appeasement for racism or traitors" It's cute that you guys think Lincoln and the North weren't racist. Lincoln considered a plan to ship blacks to Africa.
2
Sam Seder is in the establishment media bubble. I recall in 2020 when the media was saying "hydroxycloroquine does not treat covid. It will kill you." Then I found the Turkish Ministry of Health covid treatment guide. And it mentions HCL 47 times. It was their first line of treatment.
2
Most countries have both public and private health insurance, along with both public and private hospitals.
2
@lamontcranston3177 America isn't a poor country. People can buy things. My dad has a small airplane.
2
So? We don't give preferred immigration status, through the Diversity visa program, to European countries.
2
Is there any subject that these leftists don't reduce to the same tired argument "You're just racist."? It's so simple minded. Normal people aren't thinking about race constantly.
2
+Tekin Beyoglu What the hell are you talking about?
1
+charlesvan13 You should sign up for Heartmob. People who don't like Seder's videos are finding them and down voting them. It must be a really terrible experience. I hate Sam Harris too. Criticizing Islam is gross and racist. Religions are sacred and need to be protected from criticism from white supremacists, misogynists who just want to exploit brown people and steal their oil. But you don't see me being a pussy about it.

Rob McCune That's what I find strange about this. Harris brought a very clear and relevant question, i.e. how does intent fit into Chomsky's moral evaluations. Because he seems to disregard it altogether, leading to his judgment of Clinton be close to that of bin Laden. But Chomsky just got prickly and never addressed the question. The Nazi example just confused the issue, because there is no risk of a naïve person thinking their motives were benevolent. And in fact I think that remark would be very offensive to someone from Poland or Nanjing. Then Chomsky went onto suggest that acting out of indifference, was worse than actual malicious motives. This is an example of a statement that's meant to sound profound and wise, but is really nonsense. An obvious retort is that if Clinton's motives were malevolent, instead of just irresponsible, he would have sent the missiles into the factory during working hours killing 50 people. So it would be worse by Chomsky's own criteria. Interestingly, considering his views on free-will, I think Harris probably doesn't consider intent to be a metric of morality as much as most people. But I think Chomsky is just full of it.
1
Beau Jaco Chomsky reacted as a lawyer who's facing litigious or other legal action from an opponent. It's kind of embarrassing that he gets voted "top public intellectual" by some people. The only way you can view his reaction is that he considers his positions to be intellectually vulnerable, and thus had to fend off analysis.
1
+HotSkull As opposed to some regressive leftist youtube commentator with 70,000 subscribers? I've noticed that regressives don't see the irony in trying belittle while punching up.
1
santos D No. Chomsky seems to imply more, though he would not clarify it.He seems to hold the position that it doesn't matter if Clinton intended to kill hundreds of Africans, the way bin Laden intended to kill hundreds of Africans in the embassies. That brings up obvious ethical issues, but Chomsky wasn't open to a discussion. For one thing, if Clinton intended to kill Africans, rather than just intending to blow up the plant, he would have bombed it at a time to maximize the body count. So Clinton's bombing, done at night, killed one security guard while bin Laden's killed over 200, with hundreds more injured.

+Code Slinger I think it's a primitive emotional reaction that PC progressives have. When I first heard this I too thought that this kid was a victim of profiling. But after researching the story I found that his behavior has been very weird. The school was 100% entitled to investigate a beeping briefcase with a digital display in it. And when Mark Cuban called Ahmed there was someone whispering the answers to Marks questions to Ahmed. There was some type of hoax going on. The kid's father is running for the presidency of Sudan, so he's not some powerless victim.
1
+HotSkull You regressives always react with that same charge when faced with people with more charisma.
1
Sam Harris isn't a neocon. He's a liberal.Beta progressives say the goofiest things. And Sam Harris is kind of a progressive but he's more of a liberal.
1
+billywitchdoctor dotcom And Harris wins again. He released the podcast and Omer Aziz just sounds like a kid who can't back up his own points. He changed his first point from "Harris is doing it as a get rich quick scheme" to "Harris and Nawaz made some money on the book", making it obvious he didn't know what he was talking about, but not having the grace to admit it.
1
There is no "atheist community". Being "welcome to the community" is an issue that arises with religions. A Christian or Muslim sect, for example, will decide whether you are a true member. There is no such thing with atheism.
1
+lolwut58 LOL Everyday on Twitter Aslan, Greenwald and Cenk Uygur are urging people to please ignore Sam Harris, with out any awareness of the irony.
1
Now the poor kid has got millions of dollars, and scholarship offers for taking a Radio Shack clock out of its case and bothering teachers with it. Dude. You got played.
1
+thewanderandhiscomp I'm sure you would never think a pressure cooker could kill or take your legs off. But there are 3 dead young people and scores with prosthetic legs who would disagree.
