@hakim2546 Some Americans are trying to culturally appropriate some history for the blacks. One of the great ancient civilizations in Africa was ancient Egypt. But it wasn't part of black Africa. And the Ptolemaic empire was Greek.

It's only take two minutes on wikipedia to know that Cleopatra was the queen of the Ptolemaic empire, which was Greek. She was a Greek woman. But America has a really parochial silly attitude toward race. Egypt was never part of black Africa. This is similar to the the 1619 Project claiming that the American Revolution was to preserve slavery. There's no evidence of that. The British abolition movement didn't start until the 1800s, and the American revolution was over taxes. Leftoids have cognitive problems.

@MethSloth There's a subject called history. People study facts of the distant past, from records and other known facts. Egypt was ruled by the Ptolemaic empire. They were Greeks, and even inbred rather than mixing with locals.

There's never been any standard that you cast actors of the same nationality. What's stupid, is that they're ahistoricly changing Cleopatra to a black African, when she was Greek. No one would care of you cast an Israeli actress to play a Greek queen. This is even supposed to be a documentary, so they're actively changing history. Elizabeth Taylor would have also been a much closer match that a black woman.
