I've always wondered. People from Europe would tell me "You have to understand that Europe is more permissive than America." It's not. Someone in England arranged 4 pride flags in a circular way that made a rainbow swastika. And the police arrested him. The Biden administration is trying to take the US in that direction, but there's the Constitution in the way.

@KageMinowara You can drive at 16 everywhere in the US. In most European countries you need to be 18 to have full unsupervised privilege. Also the BAC legal limit is 0.08% in the US, while it is 0.04 in Europe. It's policies toward speech and censorship that are more distinguishing.

@nuclearmedicineman6270 But I think the gun ownership you're talking about is a military service civic duty. Many Israeli citizens have an M16. But it's not actually their's it's military equipment. Various laws are different in different EU countries. Brothels are legal in Germany and Netherlands, but not in many countries.
