  1. Yes. I think they just made an issue of him being the oldest elected president if he won. He was perfectly normal in 1984. The Alzheimers came in the early 90s. Alzheimers patients only live about 10 years and he died in 2005.

  3. I don't even think Reagan had cognitive decline when ran for reelection in 1984. But he was 74 making him the oldest president elected if he won. They tried to make an issue of his age, which ended with a perfectly timed joke in the debate with Mondale. With Biden it's an issue with being mentally disabled.
