Trump should run in a Florida congressional district, get appointed Speaker of the House, while Desantis runs for President and easily beats Harris in 2024. The Democrats would just go bonkers. They would dredge up phony scandals to try to take down Desantis (because that's what they do). But they would know that there's a sword of Damocles over them--Trump would be president.
