I've always been shocked at the easy way these progressives can justify racial discrimination. Harvard even has different SAT score merit criteria for different races.

Pretty much all colleges and universities take public money. It may be all of them. Undergraduate institutions take government financial aid grants, and universities have NSF research grants, part goes to the researcher and part goes to the institution.

@joannleichliter4308 But is that actually true? Professors commonly apply for research grants, even if the college itself is not taking federal money directly. A significant portion of the research grant goes to the institution.

@joannleichliter4308 But if you're a researcher, you generally get grants, because that's how you pay for conferences, inviting speakers, and laboratory costs.
