Takei's whole life has just been milking being a second tier character on the original Star Trek. Maybe even 3rd tier, because he was less important than Scotty. He's so obsessed with it that he has a burning hatred of William Shatner because he was the star.

Shatner and Nimoy were the stars, but they didn't just keep trying to milk the same roles (except Nimoy was typecast), then went on to other shows. Shatner did TJ Hooker, and Nimoy was in Mission Impossible. But Takie is "I was Sulu. I had two lines in each episode. Kiss my feet."

@Doc_Holiday It was in the Mirror Universe where everyone was evil. Uhura was from the "normal" Universe. She was actually teasing him to distract him from monitoring Kirk and Scott.

To be fair, even if the Democrats weren't the party of slavery, and a history authoritarianism - WW2 internment and Wilson arresting and prosecuting anti-war protesters -- I still wouldn't vote for them. Similarly, they're trying to sink Walker's campaign by saying he paid for an abortion. But if you're anti-abortion, you're going to vote for the candidate who will outlaw it.
