  1.  @thoughtsc3425  China has a high speed rail system. And the high speed train prices are more expensive. It's just somewhat more convenient to take the train, as the stations are closer in the city and less security. The maintenance of the tracks makes it less economical.

  2. You can't build trains over the ocean. Trains are not even economic for long distances. A high speed train ticket from LA to NY would cost twice that of a plane ticket and be 1/3 the speed.
