NY state is going down the same policy. They're issuing very few licenses for legal retail stores, and they're issuing them pure on "equity". One requirement for one of the few licenses is that you have a prior drug felony conviction. (I'm not making that up) I heard (haven't lived there for over 15 years) that the bodegas sell it kind of under the table. The same thing is going to happen if you over regulated liquor to have only 100 stores in the state and taxed it at 50%. (And to prove that you're especially stupid have all the legal stores run by former bootleggers.)

@Balthorium In CA they think you're a victim if you're not white. But NY is so dumb that they think convicted drug dealers are victims.

When you reach a certain age, you realize that marijuana is just stupid. It's also an internet lie that it's physically benign. It's bad for many organs, in particular the heart and circulatory system.
