  1. They succeeded in making any of Kavanaugh's judicial rulings irrelevant by making the vote a referendum on "innocent until proven guilty". These people were always telling me "The witnesses didn't say it didn't happen." But they didn't witness it, so it's an unconfirmed allegation. That's the most they can say. They wanted to set up a standard that was impossible to defend against. You can't prove a negative, as if it were a positive assertion. The party probably never happened. So Kavanaugh could never even name a witness. The conveniently didn't give a date or location so he could give an alibi.
