I hate that stupid hyperbole, such as "they are the American Taliban". It's stupid on another level, since the Tea party is concerned with economic issues, not religious.

Only problem with podcasting is no juggies on trampolines.

Amserdam: the place where theory bumps up against reality.

He also keeps saying that she's "really intelligent". But she hasn't done anything except manipulate people. Now she could be going to prison. She just has one patent, which is thoroughly ridiculous, basically some nanobot technology that which would stretch credulity on Star Trek.

Salon is just the worst. The articles all consist of sanctimonious, holier-than-thou, phony grandstanding, mixed with ultra silly stuff like an article on humans having sex with dolphins. I'm not making that last part up.

Where Ulbricht screwed up, is that the site allowed people to engage in illegal transactions in which it is obvious that they are illegal transactions. For example, in my home state pot growing used to be illegal. There were horticultural lighting shops. And the largest percentage of customers were pot growers, and they knew it. But if someone came in a said "I'm going to grow pot, and make a lot of money." they would tell him to leave and don't come back. Since in that case they would knowingly be aiding in the commission of a crime, and they would be open to prosecution like this guy. Only Silk Road was much worse--people were using it to solicit murder.

"I will accept nothing less than a home for every person who needs a roof under their head." They should join a roofing company.

Cyberdine Systems, Cortical Systematics, Antenna Research, Wyland-Yutani, Rekall. Shouldn't people have been suspicious when Henry Kissenger, the Clintons, de Vos, were promoting it. It's like having Mr. Burns from the Simpsons selling Cyberdine Systems.

If America's wealth is due to slavery, wouldn't countries with the most slavery, Mauritania, Arab countries, be the most wealthy. The more industrial North in the US didn't have slaves and was richer.
2
Thomas Jefferson had put a clause in the Declaration of Independence blaming the British for bringing the scourge slavery to the colonies. But the 1619 project claims the US was established to protect slavery. We're seeing the foul results of propagandists indoctrinating kids.
2
He was right to dis Jessie Ventura. Those Troofer conspiracy theories are so lame. It's a fact that the Bush Adm. didn't want to invade Iraq or Afghanistan until after 9/11, so no they didn't have a motive for planning it. And even if they had a motive, it wouldn't matter, because it wasn't them.
2
It wasn't under reported. The media outright lied. The White House staff was lying, and the media dutifully repeated those lies. But they also lied about what we saw, Biden wandering around in meeting, falling asleep in meetings, and his speech degenerating into gibberish.
2
All the comments about Citizen's United. The alternative to Citizen's United was banning political speech, which isn't Constitutional. Every loser in an election claims that the system is rigged. Sanders, and probably Trump also, lost because he didn't get as many votes as Clinton. He could still raise campaign money.

It's part of a smear campaign to put out the fact that Michael Brown was wanted for a felony when the police stopped him? Why was he walking in the middle of the street after committing a robbery? He knew he was reported to the police. It makes me think he must have been really high on something. Because all common sense would tell him to get off the streets.

***** Radio is more out of the way today than the internet. I don't even have a radio. But there is a computer with internet everywhere.
1
***** How about "AmeriKKKa". Yeah. Whenever you see some use phrases like "sheeple" or "bankster" you know it's a really insightful person, who's totally not a loser.
1
+Andrew Sang The problem is that it lowers the value of money, rather than increasing over all wealth.
1
+Liberty4Ever The legal difference is that if the seller knew that he was building bombs and planning to commit a crime, then the seller would be guilty of aiding and abetting him in the commission of a felony.

@450ktm520 Most people who are facing charges are trying to get acquitted. I think she's facing 20 years, so it's a lot more serious than petty theft.
1
That's what's so creepy about this. The left boasts about this. But if the right remarks about it, they go apoplectic.
1
The problem with these protests is that there isn't any real goal or ideology, unlike for example the civil rights protests of the 60s. Case in point, the guy saying "there's a thing called greed." Yes, but so. You can only change government policy.
1
@kiastar67 Those same drugs are illegal in every country. In Asian countries they are more uptight about dope. Where I grew up, in Oregon, if you got busted, coworker or at school people would react by "you idiot you got a ticket for smoking a joint." But in Japan they'd react like you were making improvised explosive devices.
1
They should have interviewed Marion Barry.
1
They shouldn't have passed over the last 50 Ms. America winners. They also wished for "peace on Earth".
1
1:37 if the government owned the banks it would be the taxpayers' loss automatically whenever the banks lost money. There's no very much ideology in this protest when you cancel out the contradictions.
1
She talks like she really needs to take a dump.
1
@Nphyx The laws come down to votes. Since few voters are concerned with the for profit prisons, that cannot be the reason. Perhaps the private prisons,( I suppose it would include the public ones too) loby the representatives. But that number of votes isn't a significant precentage.

Until you can make a rifled barrel in hardened steel this wont be worth it.

People have known the people spin the news in favor of their viewpoint since the dawn of man.
1
I like libertarianism but it get too dogmatic. They did improve on the seatbelt. Cars all have air bags now. I think it's perfectly legitimate to save tigers or gorillas by banning hunting. There's probably no more than a 1000 of those animals.
1
Do these people have any demands? Is it really just about "We can camp in this park, and the city council can't move us."? Because that's a pretty petty cause.
1
The Fruit of the Loom theory of economic history.
1
You can tell these fake fact checks by the strawmen. Nobody claimed this will happen "overnight". It's a long gradual process. They have immigration incentives and subsidies for 3 world countries, such as some African countries, while limiting European and also Cuban immigration.
1
The Democrats always use accusations of racism as a shield. But the US should let in the immigrants that are most beneficial to the country.
1
The Iraq war has been over for a while.
1
Most people don't go out nude even where it's legal, because they don't want to be an idiot exibitionist. Most people have lives, and don't want to attract attention from people they don't know or like.
1
When the next ice age comes we will welcome greenhouse warming. Even the negative consequences wont be nearly as bad as most of North America and Europe and Siberia being burried benieth ice sheets.
1
Most people do pay for their own health insurance. You do have the option of not buying it. Then if something serious, say you need surgery, you would get 50k in bills. I suppose there are ways to avoid paying bills, but I don't think it's as simple as just deciding not to pay. Of course, if you're poor you're not going to pay it because you can't. I've always wondered why democrats bitch about that. You can't get kicked out of a hospital for being poor.
1
@francismendy1398 That doesn't change the ridiculously false framing. The Democrats think 3rd world immigration will. That's why they gloat about whites becoming a minority.
1
"The rich aren't paying enough in any country." In the Netherlands the upper tax bracket is 60%, and that's not just rich, it's something like over 100--150 euros, and in Denmark it's 70%. So lefties, there are countries you can admire only I doubt rich lefties would move there. There's an element of masochism in say paying for nice tennis courts and pc's for the prisons.
