  1. I think this is an urban legend. It will probably clog the fuel injectors in many cars, but the engine isn't going to sieze up. Because sugar doesn't really disolve in gas.

  2. This is (mostly) an urban myth, like pop rocks and soda pop will kill you. You put 1/4 cup of sugar in about a pint. That would be equivalent to 20 cups in 10 gallons of gas. The damage is just that the gas tank will have to be cleaned out and the filter replaced.

  3. I think the octane boost they sell at autoparts stores is a scam. I had an old car that would knock when climbing hills in high gear. And the only effect of the octane boost was removing $10 from my pocket.
