That's not true. "Anti-semitism" was a term coined by 19th century German race realists, to refer to Jews as a race, rather than a religion.

@Jraymiami The phrase has a particular meaning: refers to Jews as a race. Europe didn't have an Arab population, so there is no corresponding movement such as Hitler's for Arabs. It would be like me getting testy about the phrase "Caucasian" because I have no ancestry in western Asia. Farrakahn said the same thing "I can't be an anti-Semite because I am a semite." That's a nutbag thing to say. He's a radical anti-semite, who admires Hitler.

Weak argument or not, the term "antisemitism" only refers to Jews. It's origins are in 19th century Germany, and was coined because "anti-jewish" would refer to the religion, while Jews were considered a race.

@eccentricaste3232 No. They're Arabs. Arab Israeli citizens have equal rights, unlike must of the other middle eastern countries, where minorities don't. I don't have anyone jewish in my family so I don't really care about the issue. But you have to laugh to Jimmy Dore showing the maps. It's like showing a map of Germany in 1940 and then a map in 1946. OMG. Look at all the territory they lost. They used to have East Prussia (now it belongs to Poland and Russia), and other parts now belong to a separate country, Austria.
