The "hyperloop" as a working concept has been debunked on many science/engineering channels. You're not going to see a hyperloop ever, for many reasons. One reason: a long vacuum tube would be a death trap, loss of vacuum would kill everyone. The "development" you showed are just electric carts in a pipe.

This idea has been debunked by many science/engineering channels and blogs. Even if you could create a vacuum in a long tunnel, being in a death trap would never be worth the extra speed. Elon Musk has a lot of absurd ideas because he's not an engineer, such as ballistic missile passenger travel.

@Psi-Storm He made his fortune from Paypal. He has these absurd ideas that will never be practical or ever happen: Commercial rocket travel. The hyperloop, reinvention of the tunnel, but with elevators.

@marksoberay2318 It will never happen because a long vacuum tube would be a serious risk of failure. It would fail catastrophically with no way for passengers to escape. I'm not even sure you'd conserve power, by having no wind resistance, because you'd have to pump air out of a long tunnel.

Quantum of Solace should be the name of the Democrat impeachment efforts.

I wouldn't want to live in that. You have the added risk of an impossible escape in case of a fire. You will also have an unsettling sway in a breeze.

@borthwalk1 There will never be trains running in a vacuum tube. Loss of vacuum would kill everyone, with no way to escape.

@Psi-Storm I've listened to his ideas and it doesn't take long to realize he has no practical common sense. Rocket passenger travel would have at least a 1% chance of death, besides the exorbinant costs.
