@Vaultboy101 Steve Jobs was a deadbeat dad after he was a millionaire. And all the work was done by engineers, while Jobs got praised as a "genius" when he designed the case. All this was in the "Steve Jobs" movie, and you're left wondering why people liked him.

@jhnshep I used to have this image of him as this brilliant creative genius in a garage with a soldering iron and oscilloscope creating personal computers. But it wasn't anything like that. Elizabeth Holm's idol was Steve Jobs. She also didn't actually engineer anything. But she proposed ideas that weren't possible.

What's funny is that Elon isn't even ideologically committed. He's just gen-X and doesn't give a shit. That shows the weakness in the cathedral.

@retrocomputing Apple products aren't particularly good. I have an Imac because someone else bought it. And it freezes up and is slow compared to a PC, DOS based computer.

@retrocomputing It's two years old. Mac's a slow because they use android tech that doesn't need a fan. But there's not use for that in a desktop. Sometime it take un unconscionable amount of time just to update software or reboot.

It funny that leftists are coping on CNN and MSNBC by claiming that Elon Musk is "destroying twitter". Getting rid of the bots and welcoming the people banned for wrong think isn't going to destroy twitter. Sam Harris quit after trying to mass block people by the hundreds of thousands. Obviously, the internet isn't for him.
