It's comical how these people start making demands of the Taliban after they gave up all leverage, by surrendering to them. It's a level of competence below ordinary people functioning in the real world. But they're all a bunch of smug bourgeoisie that studied useless things like critical race theory. To put this in perspective, it the same as going to the auto dealership, paying sticker price, and then returning later and asking for some money back.

@airiakizuki5592 They always did that in a way, it's called the Department of Defense. It includes, as US Navy is the only "blue ocean" navy, keeping all shipping lanes open. Keeping aggressive countries in check, etc. But the Biden administration is unlike anything before. It's basically the Obama people headed by a mentally handicapped old man.

@OffGridInvestor The Biden administration is so bad at it, that it's hard to figure out what they're thinking. Trump's plan was withdrawal, but not unconditional surrender. Trump's agreement required the Taliban to enter negotiations with the Afghan government for peace.
