  1. The Democrats are going to bring up all these radical, and bad ideas, which wont go anywhere as meat thrown to the left wing of the party. They'll especially do it with social justice issues, because their sponsors aren't threatened by it.

  2. "Less punitive criminal justice system" It's actually called the "penal code", meaning that criminal justice, as opposed to civil, is punitive.
