  3.  @nuclearmedicineman6270  What I don't get, is why they have military ranks for a social services branch of the government. It's just a civil servant's job. She's not commanding an army. As far as I know there are only 6 branches of the US armed forces, if you include the Coast Guard. The whole thing seems like pointless, conferring titles. Imagine the IRS having military ranks.

  4.  @wheeliebin18  Gender studies, women's studies, etc. are majors where they can just BS their way through college. Those people learn no problem solving skills. "I too want to understand white rage." And also forget the fact that most white people don't identify with their race and rarely think about race.

  5.  @The_Crimson_Fucker  But this person is the assistant head of the Health and Human Services Department. What in the world does that have to do with the military? I think the National Guards can be nationalized in an emergency and then are part of the larger branch. She's not even the head of that department. But we're supposed to admire her just because she's trans.

  8.  @evzevz06  I've heard from military people that enlisted women tend to get pregnant when there's an actual deployment. That doesn't contribute to military readiness.

  9.  @The_Crimson_Fucker  I think a lot of these bureaucracies exist as job programs for politicians friends. The federal government pays good salaries for undemanding jobs. For a similar salary in the private sector or university, you have to be producing competitive work or publishing.

  10.  @fredsmith5473  Pakistan supports the Taliban. For them, it's a chess piece in their cold war with India. Perhaps Islamic radicals can drive India out of Kashmir. Biden is basically aligning with Pakistan against India. Biden turned the clock back to Sept 2001, where there's a small holdout of the other ethic groups in the NE.
