  1. It struck me as a book that very few would have the patience to read. I got about 40 pages and he's just rambling about bureaucrats in West-phalia, and Rheinland, that nobody remembers. He wasn't a particularly good writer.

  2. Most people didn't read it because it's long, verbose, boring and turgid. It doesn't even have the excitement of the writings of a madman. It's mostly just long and boring.

  3.  Syd McCreath  It doesn't give you the impression that this guy is going to cause a world war or genocide. Because every political manifesto has talk of "fighting their enemies", "victory of the movement", etc. Even Democrats in the US use this extremist talk. Biden did a speech where he basically said opposition voters are a terrorist threat.
