You need to know the background in a field to be able to invent anything. In bio-tech that would be a PhD level. After 4 years as an undergraduate, you're learning things that were done decades ago, at least. She had no background knowledge, so she was just fantasizing. And had major delusions about herself. People always say "Oh. Steve Jobs dropped out of college." But Steve Jobs just designed the case of new PC. It was engineers who did all the work, which he took credit for. That's not inventing, but marketing.

In America most people go to college, but only 25% get a degree. She had the qualities of arrogance and sociopathy. She acted like she could revolutionize a branch of medicine that would take a PhD to make a significant contribution to, with a couple semesters of college.

It's common sense. Go through the reputable medical and scientific journals, they're almost all PhDs or graduate students near graduation. It's not complicated. You need to understand what's already known in a field, before you can make an original contribution.
