My understanding is that the SC sent the issue to the states. A law couldn't "codify" it. Either that law would be unconstitutional, or it wouldn't supersede any state law. I'm pretty sure if the feds, say legalized marijuana, it wouldn't invalidate state laws. It's not completely legal like alcohol in any state.

Ending the filibuster would be a huge gift to the Republicans when they take power next year. And I don't think they can codify Roe v. Wade. The court ruling is that it's an issue for the states.

@williamadams5384 That's pretty stupid on their part. Desantis wont be easier to beat in the general election. He has pretty much the same political position, but he's tactful, and has a traditional political elite background: military, ivy league education, gov. of a large state.

@williamadams5384 Biden's approval significantly dropped after the Roe v Wade decision. The Democrat base is dissipating, with the Biden admin. polling in the 20s with hispanics.

@williamadams5384 Not only that, they're just as desperate as when Trump was president. The media cycle is constant BS about Trump being a naught man. It's all hearsay, contradicted by others who were there. They're behaving like it's 2017. Biden is a non-entity, who can't do anything useful or constructive.

It's amazing that they can get away with just lying like this. They're saying that Trump "tried to strangle a secret service agent", who has denied it ever happened. And another talking point is "Trump knew the crowd was armed." But the crowd wasn't armed. No guns were confiscated. They pay off liars like Hutchinson, and Blassey Ford.
