  1. This is such an example of having the man, and contriving the "crime"--i.e. Soviet political trial. The indictment doesn't even list a crime. The charge accuses him of falsifying records to cover up a crime, but there is no crime listed. Hush money agreements aren't illegal. The "crime" is supposed to be not recording it as a campaign expense. But the FEC concluded that it was not a campaign finance expense. So Bragg is arguing that Trump committed fraud by having records that agree with the Feds??? These clowns are just destroying the US legal system.

  3. @TrumpRapedJeanCarrol The FEC suspicion was that it WAS a campaign expense. But 1) Not reporting a campaign expense is a fine offense, ie. like a parking ticket. 2) They concluded that it wasn't a campaign expense. They've long since concluded that it's not helpful to consider everything a campaign expense. That would lead to the grifting that you're accusing in your misunderstanding of events.

All they have is some retainer checks paid to Michael Cohen, and Cohen's word that it was for the NDA. Cohen is a notorious liar.

If it were then it is NOT a crime, but a fine. All major presidential campaigns have accounting at the end. The Obama campaign had to pay 5 million in fines for not reporting some expenses. That's how all these case are a total joke. You have to rewrite all the laws and legal precedent just to go after Trump. And the result is Trump's polls going up.

Even the usual lawfare people, ie the partisan hacks behind all these operations from the Russia Hoax in 2017, have lamented how weak this is. But this absolute joke of an indictment is all they could get to proceed before the election.
