  1. I'm surprised he did this. I thought he was going to back off, to save his career, and so Democrats could ridicule Trump for saying "indictment is immanent". He wouldn't even name what the crime is that Trump covered up. That's an obvious 6th Amendment violation. The 6th Amendment requires that defendants know clearly the charges they are facing.

  2. The US state department likes to judge countries around the world for commitment to democratic values. The president of El Salvador has already told the US administration that they take no judgment from governments that meddle in their own elections.
