They have removed all of the constitutional legal standards, such as innocent until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt. FFS in this case the charges aren't even constitutional.

@Mark-12-31 The indictment is unconstitutional vague. Trump is charged with fraudulent business records, with the goal of covering up a crime. But the indictment doesn't say what the "crime" is. That's a 6th Amendment violation. "In all criminal prosecutions, ....by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, .... and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; There's 2 6th Amendment violations right there. The prosecution is accusing him of "election interference", "campaign finance violation". Those are federal crimes. This is the district court of Manhattan. And, the indictment doesn't state what the crime is, violating the 2nd clause. It's hard to defend yourself against charges which aren't clear. The prosecution will just keep changing what the "crime" is. That's unconstitutional.

@cs3350 Democrats have no analytical abilities. It's just pull the string and you repeat lame brain talking points. The indictment violates the 6th Amendment requirement that the charges be clearly stated. He's charged with fraudulent business records intended to cover up a crime. But the "crime" is not stated in the indictment. You can't mount a good defense, if you don't know precisely what you are accused off. The prosecution is stating that it was an "election crime" but the NY DA has no jurisdiction over federal elections. The FEC looked at these payments and found no crime.

Trump didn't even pay hush money. He paid a lawyer attorney retainer fees. It was Michael Cohen's idea to pay the woman.

"A conspiracy to influence the election" So he was campaigning for office. A political campaign is a conspiracy to influence an election. These lefties, controlling institutions are just mentally gone.
