  1. Trump is winning the primaries anyways. Desantis would come in a solid second, but it would be better strategy to stay in FL and run in 2028. Most Republicans and Trump "revenge voters". The last two years has be the Democrats showing that they're not even going to be civil toward the Trump populist movement, eg. midnight ballot dumps in 2020, Biden's Hitler speech, Biden announcing he's paying Ukrainian bureaucrats' salaries when East Palestine doesn't have clean water, and a local DA trying to take Trump out with a contrived misdemeanor.

  2. It was a pretty tame statement. I suppose that's why people are disappointed. The DA's actions are extremist and corrupt. Campaign finance law (in presidential race) is federal law. And Trump committed no crime. The DOJ tried prosecuting John Edward, on more solid evidence, and he was acquitted. A hush money payment is a personal expense, not a campaign expense. This DA has no jurisdiction over this.
