Seriously, you don't have to be very smart to be a lawyer. But doing law is over his mental capacity. Allowing the jury to pic the crime they're accusing the defendant of is unconstitutional.

Not informing the defendant of the crime he's accused of is the oldest show trial gimmick in the book. You can't defend yourself when you don't know what you're accused of.

@Time4Project2025 It's not the defense's role to "prove it false". The prosecution never argued the secondary crime in court. It was just assumed.

Biden and his foolish handlers just upped the ante. The judicial system is going to be politically weaponized against dissenters under the Democrats, so I can only support the opposition.

This is actually a serious Biden weakness. Obama would have made so somber serious comment, which would milk the situation, but give the appearance of being a high roader and high class. Biden is only looking good to the demonic msnbc crowd with this.

@lmb1962 That's one reason why this trial was not legitimate. It's a fake conviction. It's not more legitimate than Saddam Hussein or Kim Jung Un winning an election.

@cda4662 I know. There's no legitimacy to these convictions, or the trial. But I think the Democrats made a mistake with this. For example, those on msnbc showing glee, and Biden smirking,. The public knows they're destroying the US electoral system.

@Time4Project2025 Proving innocence is not really a part of the US criminal justice system. The prosecution is (supposed to be) tasked with proving the defendant guilty (supposedly beyond a reasonable doubt). The defense proves doubt in the prosecution's case. But with a crook judge like this, it doesn't work that way in practice. They never even argued what underlying crime Trump committed in court. And the judge just asked the jury to summarily rule on that. So the Trump defense had no opportunity to counter the prosecution. WE DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT CRIME THE JURY RULED TRUMP GUITY OFF.

@Time4Project2025 This is a problem with the court system. There is no safe guard for corrupt judges. It will get overturned, but Merchan will just have his reputation destroyed. He should go to jail.
