The NY charge is a misdemeanor, The statute of limitations has passed, The statute has never been used (so this defies a legal principle), Trump has even won a lawsuit against Stormy Daniels, The DA is attempting to make this a felony, using a clause involving covering up a crime, while the "crime" is violating federal campaign finance law. But the NY courts have no jurisdiction over federal law. This is such a twisting of the law, that the DA is going to end up in jail.
