  1. +Sam Rattlehead Few people are "ideologically pure" when it comes to some ideology. Most progressive democrats aren't socialists or communists. Except Bernie Sanders, he's a total Marxist. A true libertarian would allow people to die who couldn't afford medical treatment. But most people wouldn't do that. And a society which takes care of the sick will also pass rules, e.g. discourage smoking, smoking dope, etc.

  2. +GrassFedMeats It's not worse than being dead, by a long shot. Pot related deaths have gone up, substantially. And, pre legalization, you wouldn't go to jail for possession; a fine and probation is it's a large quantity. I'm just saying that there are negative effects of the availability of pot. They legalized it in Oregon also. And there are going to be negative consequences, now that every adult has access to 25% thc pot all the time. Legalization is a libertarian argument, not a progressive one. There were much more automobile deaths when car design was much less regulated in the 1960s. Same with tobacco when taxes were much lower and sale to minors was legal.
