The interesting part about the is that people attack Sam Harris on foreign policy just because he's not a left wing whack job.  He's not a hawk like Christopher Hitchens, but he's not a deranged ideologue like Noam Chomsky either.   Notice that Chomsky thinks that the only correct view of Clinton is that he is an evil mustache twirling villain who "regards Africans as just ants".    Preferably, and this includes Harris, one could avoid being a Kook and employ Occam's razor, and attribute Clinton's actions to poor government intelligence and political sleaze.   It's not bombastic and self-important, but it's more accurate.
