  9. Slavery was a background issue during the Civil War. The foreground issues were high tariffs the North imposed on Southern exports. The Civil War wasn't fought to end slavery; it was fought to preserve the Union. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation only "freed" slaves in Confederate controlled territory. And was highly ridiculed for that reason by the British, who were major traders with the South.

  14. This case is just as weak as all the others. Trump took his presidential records, which he was supposed to. He was cooperating with the Nat Archives, but Biden ordered the raid and prosecution. Then Jack Smith and the FBI tampered with the documents, essentially ending the case. But they never had a case, because the president is the final authority on document classification; it's the president's constitutional authority.
