  1.  @bojnebojnebojne  "Climate change" is used promote many political grifts, eg. taxes, counterproductive technologies such as electric vehicles, and scams such as carbon capture. The only thing I know of that can actually make a difference is switching to nuclear power. We've already largely switched from coal to natural gas, which has half the carbon emissions. Wind and solar aren't stable, so can't be used as the basis of a power system. Otherwise, we just have to adapt to a changing environment. We're very good at that. Deaths from hurricanes have gone down drastically, because of improved buildings and transportation.

  5.  @kayakMike1000  The only meaningful policy changed would be moving the power grids from fossil fuels to nuclear. But that still wouldn't have a significant impact, as the US is only a small fraction of emissions. Currently, natural gas is a basis for many power grids, eg. CA. Switch to nuclear, and natural gas can be saved for heating, and cars.
