@billn2348 That's just stupid. Actions make one good or bad. Trump's presidency resulted in peace agreements. Hitler directly exterminated 10 million, and caused a war which killed 80 million. Thanks for clarifying why I don't respect Sam Harris. Enjoy your regressive clown show.

I used to listen to all his pod cases. But now he's much worse than Noam Chomsky with his goofy self-righteousness, with clownish statements like: “The things that make Hitler worse [than Trump] are actually virtues. I mean like courage and a commitment to something beyond yourself.”

Statements like that are why I stopped following Sam Harris. It wasn't even the most shocking thing to happen in the previous 6 months. There were riots all over the country with buildings set on fire and people killed (with the support of the Democrats). Holy shit, just this statement by Sam Harris is more shocking than Jan 6 : “Osama bin Laden is far less reprehensible personally to me than Trump.” And like every deluded person, he has to make a Hitler comparison (and a really really bad one): “The things that make Hitler worse [than Trump] are actually virtues. I mean like courage and a commitment to something beyond yourself.” Let's ignore that Trump is not a mass murderer.

@pablowall The Democrats contested the 2016 election (for 4 long years). The difference is that the Republicans aren't such emotionally unhinged cunts to compare that with terrorism. In a functioning democracy people are entitled to oppose the certification of a vote. It's not like Iran or Russia, where you have to accept the result whether or not it was crooked.

@bobgolden939 It was the crime of interrupting Congressional meeting. That's not a coup attempt. I used to listen to all of Harris' podcasts, and watch his debates. But, not anymore. He's become ridiculous. The Democrats claimed the 2016 election was illegitimate, and actually went after people with the legal system.

The PA Supreme Court just recently ruled that the state's election rule changes (changing to mass mail-in ballots) was unconstitutional. That's basically what happened in 2020. The states changed the voting rules in an illegal unconstitutional manner. The Constitution gave the state legislatures the authority over election procedures.

@popperpoppler4569 That's how Biden won. Instead of campaigning, Dem party workers just went around harvesting mail in ballots. He would have lost, except for the trucks showing up at 2 am with ballots.

It makes me wish Christopher Hitchens were still around. @theamazingbrokenman We've had a year of the vaccines and the death rate didn't go down. And there are actual risks to the vaccines, with deadly reaction listed in VARS in the thousands.

The vaxes have actually turned out to be a failure in curbing the pandemic and the death rates. There's 60% vaccination in the 1st world, and the death rate didn't drop. Same number dead in 2021 as 2020. And right thinking person would concluded that we need a change in strategy. Perhaps, theraputics along with natural immunity would be more effective.

@jotatsu It's strange seeing someone broken by politics. Especially in this manner. The reason Trump drives him bonkers is that he breaks all the norms of the bourgeoisie political establishment. Now instead of ridiculous tweets we have a person who cruelly left people stranded in Taliban controlled Afghanistan.

@mike8595 Sam Harris is a clown. Riots happen all the time in DC. There was a riot right outside the White House in 2020. Rioters set St Johns church on fire. And clowns like Sam Harris were blaming Trump for that.

@Thisisahandle701 It was a peaceful transfer of power. It wasn't like 2016-2017 where the administration in power was spying on the incoming one, with wiretapped phone conversations collected. And then later used in the Russia hoax. Sam Harris used to be someone I could rely on for intelligent analysis. Almost on par with Hitchens or Glenn Greenwald (today, he was rather regressive in the past). But now he's just kind of a political hack, repeating Media matters hackery.

@Thisisahandle701 People are legally entitled to contest an election result. In 2016 there were many people who didn't accept the outcome. There were calls for electors to go faithless. There were people in the House to protested the certification. That wasn't a crime, and neither was the Trump people contesting 2020. The actual crimes were what they were doing behind the scenes in 2016-17. Obama's people were wiretapping the incoming administration. Then they started the fake Russia hoax, based on Russian disinformation. People are being investigated right now. The actual indictments are just going to be lying to the FBI. But I'm not taking any hyperbolic hypocritical BS from a party that uses the FBI to spy on political opponents, defends a year of violent rioting with buildings burned down. And then cries about a capitol riot for over a year.

@Thisisahandle701 That's not true. There was no basis for the security agency's claims of "Russia collusion". Those were partisans in the agencies lying to the media. The source of the Steele Dossier has been indicted and arrested, Igor Danchenko. That makes it much worse that we have factions of the government behind the the Russia Hoax. They were Clinton supporters in the government who wanted Trump removed. That's how hypocritical this is. That was an actual plot by the intelligence to remove the president with a manufactured fake scandal. A coup isn't a bunch of yahoos rushing into the capitol. It takes people with political power. The origin of the Alpha Bank fake scandal is now getting investigated. If they intentionally lied to the FBI then it was a crime.
